City Girls Gone Country & Hit the 90's

Yes, it was that time again.... STAGECOACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whats stagecoach? Only the best 2-day country councert of the year. This was my 1st year going and i was excited. Ive hear of stories and ive been dying to go ever since. It was Mondo, Chantelle, Josh, Jen and I. I was so excited it was just the 5 of us. We are the best fit for trips. We departed on Friday night to Palm Springs - where we rented out a 3 room condo in a pretty amazing country club. The 1st night we were there we went to downtown palm springs to see what the night life was like. Well, it was pretty "old." All of the restaurants, clubs, bars... were dominated with older people (in there 40's & 50's). We should of known... Palm Springs is where u retire. So we just walked around and window shopped at all the great stores there. We hit the sac early because Saturday was day 1 of the concert.

Saturday: Oh, so excited. We all got up. Josh made an amazing breakfast for us all. The concert started at noon. While on our way.. we noticed a lot of cars with people in cowboy hats, with writting on there car windows saying "save a hourse, ride a cowboy" (lyrics to a country song, just incase u didnt know). We were getting closer. The concert is held in Indio (30 min south of where we were staying). We bought "cheap" but expensive cowboy hats to complete our outfits. When we got to the concert arena.. oh my goodness! I never thought that there were so many country lovers in L.A. There was an estimate or 10,000 ppl there that weekend. There was a sections dedicated for camping, camp trailors, general admission, VIP (thats where we were), a whole section of food (which we did alot of visiting to). They had every type of food imaginable; from: chinese, mexican, burgers, pizza, bbq.. everything! I, of course, only bought a general admission ticket, while my friends had VIP tix. I was not about to pay $300 for a concert. So.. we snuck me into the VIP section of course. Josh gave me his wrist band to get me in. YAY! We met some fun people there. The section was relatively small... only about 100 ppl were there.

Sunday:
We were all exhausted from Saturday. We didnt get back to the condo til 3am. Nobody was that anxious to get to the concert by noon. Instead we took advantage of the private heated pool we had access to. It was relaxing and just what we all needed; some quality time with eachother (which we havnt done is months). This was the best part of the trip (for me anyways). This day was Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts performin. At the end of the concert... Rascal Flatts announced that Osama Bin Laden was killed by the navy seals. The crowd went crazy!

Friday, May 13, 2011.

Yes, Kerri, Chantelle, and I went back in time.... We went to a PRINCE concert! Ha. This was a last minute idea. The tickets were extremely cheap - $25.00. Now, i am not a big fan of prince, i only know 2 songs of his. Well, the concert was suppost to start at 7:30pm. It didnt acutally begin until 9:30 (when the opening act game out) and prince didnt actually come out until 10:15 or so. For only costing us $25 and buying the tickets the same day as the concert we got AMAZING seats... we were 10 rows from the stage and had a great view. The concert was AMAZING! Best concert i have ever been to. He had old school music videos playing on big screens the whole time, he sang songs from the 90's, he even did a stevie wonder song. He has so much energy! He has different secret guest performers with every performance. I wanna go again!!!!!!!!!!! I had such a great time :)

Disney On Ice

Took my little niece to disney on ice at the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City. She absolutely was thrilled when i told her she was coming (thx to my friend, Heather, for grabbing her a ticket. We went with a very large group full of crazy kids. We had pizza from pizza man (yum) for dinner- it was madness to control 6 children, and 5 adults. but in the end it was so much fun!

All for Mad's

My nieces 8th birthday was on Feb 28. I wanted to show up in Utah to surprise her for her big day. Boy, did i have a hard getting to Utah. I stayed at my boyfriends house the night before my flight (hes babysitting my car while im away, and he lives 10 min from the long beach airport) so it worked out really well. My flight departed at 9:50am - which was perfect timing for him to drop me off and for him to get to work on time. We'll the day of.. I woke him up super early because i was worried of missing my flight. He was taking his sweet time getting ready - even decided to chat with his neighbor (by this time my anxiety was totally present). While driving to the airport i got a call from the airline (mind you this was an hr before departure) that they had cancelled my flight... say what?! Yup, they sure did. The next flight leaving was 12:45pm and i would arrive in SLC til almost 10pm (i was connecting in arizona). Not acceptable! I tried everything to get an earlier flight. LAX? Long beach? Burbank airport?... anything! Finally Muz said.. "how about Orange county airport?" The person working for the airline said ... "yes, we have a flight leaving at 9:50." I had 45 min to get there, and 20 min to check in my bags. Muz drove all the way to the O.C. and i got to the airport right on the dot. *phew* too bad i didnt get to see my niece til she was already in bed.

Its a special kind of day.....

Baby, I will love you
I'll love you. I'll love you
Love- i dont need those things

So wont you be my honey bee?
Gving me sweet kisses all the time
Be mine, be my Valentine
Ohhh, Oh woah. Be my Valentine

February 13th, 2011: Happy National Mistress Day.
10:30 am: Me and my lovely guy headed toward San Diego for the day.
When we arrived we were starving and had a quick bite to eat at Subway (my favorite). Our first love day activity was giong out onto the harbor and ride around on a speed boat. It was adorable. It was a 2 person speedboat- very romantic. He loves to drive boats. He made me scream out a few times - he was going really fast and hitting huge waves - but i trusted him completely (the life vest also was nice). He had the biggest smile on his face the entire time - and that put a smile on mine. Towards the end - he asked me if i wanted to drive. I wasnt too sure about this idea. Im a bad driver on the roads - imagine on sea. Freaky! In the end i did drive a little (only while docking which means i could only go 5 miles an hr). He did a great job at teaching me.
3:00 pm: We had planned to go to the San Diego Safari Zoo. I was so excited. Unfortunately, we found out that they closed at 5 so it was too late to go. We ended up going to a Navy Museum. We walked around and looked at the aircrafts. He knew alot about the planes and was a great tour guide.
Dinner time came around and we headed to gas lamp district. Well, this is where he thought the restaurant was (it was actually in old town san diego). We (now in Old Town) walked around saw the little stores and had a very romantic dinner at this mexican restaurant - outdoors, fire pit, candlelight lighting - AMAZING!.
8:00 pm: We headed home. Exhausted. We walked into his apartment and his rommate had prepaired a little something for us. He had 2 bottles of wine, had the fire going, and the grammys on the tv. It was perfect. We had a few glasses, laughed, smiled, and watched the grammys.
Time for Vday presents came. He walked up behind me and gave me the biggest hug as he handed me a awkardly shaped present. I was so excited. Then when i actually looked at the present i noticed it was wrapped in red chirstmas paper with little green christmas trees all over it. I started laughing. "Christmas paper, babe. Really?" I said. "Hey, its red isnt it?" He replied. Wow, isnt he romantic ;) On my attempt to open it I noticed that he literally rolled my present in the paper. It had a minimum of 4-5 layers of paper. When i finally did get it open - it was chocolate. A huge bar of Toblerone candy & big box of Ferrero chocolate. And i mean they are cosco size. I didnt plan anything big to give him. I just got him cheezy red boxers with cheetah hearts on them as a silly gift. I knew he would never wear them but i thought they were cute.
The next morning I was woken up with a nice cup of coffee and him saying "good morning, valentine." Once i left his place I went out to my car just to find that he had placed a single pink and white rose in there. It meant alot because he said he doesnt believe in buying flowers because they just die and a waste of money.
Sweetest day ever!

A "Dead End" sign on the road to happiness..

Boy, has this weekend been tough on Muz and I. He talked to his parents (who are in India) on friday night, as usual, and they informed him that they are tearing down the building that they live in a year from now. They are building a 30 story apartment complex, which will take 2-3 yrs to complete. This pretty much means "get out." I talked to Muz on Saturday morning and could sence something was bothering him. He finally told me his parents situation and that he was worried. His parents are elderly (dad- 72, mom- 68).

Sunday came around (our day together)
I was suppost to show up at his place around 4pm. He kept calling me and calling me to come as early as possible - that he wanted to spend the day with me. I unfortunatly didnt get there til around 6. When I got to his place, i turned on the tv, as usual (they have apple tv.. amazing!) He then asked me to join him in his bedroom ("Um, okay".. was my tought). His roomate wasnt home so i didnt understand why we couldnt chat in the living room. I immediately got a horrible gut feeling, that something was wrong. He then closed the door, behind him and just hugged me so hard and wouldnt let go. He then sat me down on the bed (he was kneeling by my feet) and just hugged me so tight... All i kept saying "Whats wrong" "honey your scaring me" "what is it". He just kept shaking his head, and wouldnt say anything. He finally asked "where do you see us going?" I didnt know how to answer this. I hadnt thought it threw.. i was just going with the flow and see where we end up. He then told me that he has decided that he is moving back to India in a year to help his parents during there last years. At that very second water works began.

"What now?" "What does this mean?" " What about us?" "When are you coming back?" So many question just kept popping up in my head. He told me that this is permanent, and if he does come back it wont be for another 10yrs or so. For us- it means we need to end our relationship. I was heart broken. I couldnt talk. This was extremely hard. It is different when you are breaking up with someone that doesnt have feelings for you, have problems in the relationship. For us, we have none of that. We love/care about eachother so much. We enjoy just talking and being with eachother. He is the 1st personal i call or txt when something happens. I keep absolutely nothing from him. We layed in bed, in eachothers arms, and talked for hours. Trying to make sence of it all. I suggested: Skype, email, weekly phone calls, facebook, something... anything. He told me "NO". That type of life is not what we are destined. He said a phrase that just stuck in my head "If we do this, it will be like you are with a dead husband. I want to see you happy." He will be on the other side of the world - where night is day and day is night. I even considered moving to India with him. But, we both know that this is unrealistic.

Our conclusion: We go back to casual dating eachother, we date other people if we choose (we just cant tell eachother - it will be too painful), we still talk on the phone as usual, we will always be eachothers main support group - in other works - i got myself a new best friend. Our goal is to be able to say goodbye at the airport with good spirits, a smile, and wish eachother well.

So far... we are eachothers biggest support group. We call/txt eachother for a little picker upper when we feel down. Its working so far :) i kmow for a fact we will be ok. as long as we have eachother.

The man is 30!

Nope, that wasnt a typo. He really is the BIG 3-0! Ahhh! My boyfriend is an old old man. Muz turned 30 on Friday and he wanted to end his 20's with a bang and boy did he. He was overwhelmed with excitement. On Thursday the party began for him. His work project went "live," on monday, and the company he works for was celebrating (it was a few month's long project). The company had a dinner & drinks all set up for all the employees/managers. He works with ALL guys and 2 poor poor girls (being around so much testosterone-- wouldnt u feel bad for these girls too? HA!). All of the guys decided that they were gonna go out and celebrate Muz's Bday, and boy did they go crazy. Muz kept calling/texting me every hour just to let me know how happy and how much fun he was having with his coworkers---I was out in Hermosa Beach having dinner with 3 girlfriends (Chantelle, Sodani, and Lindsay) at the time. We were celebrating the fact that Linds is expecting a little boy in June. After dinner Chantelle, Sodani, and I decided to hit a couple of bars (especially our favorite one). The Shore is by far the funnest place to go. It has an amazing live band, its a little cozy place - that is just a blast. We always know its gonna be a good night when the doorman escorts us to the best bartender ever!

The BEST part of the entire night was at midnigt. I txt him "Happy birthday" (well i said more but thats pretty much what it was about). and he txt me back
"love u".
Say what? <-- was my reaction.
At that moment, all my concerns about our relationship (and theres quite a few) just didnt seemed to matter. It was a great night!

Sunday:

This was my day to celebrate with my guy. I was determined to get down to hunington beach by 4- we had panned to watch the sunset (we have never been able to do that). Well it takes me an hour just to drive there so i knew i had to hussle and be out the door by 3. Yea, didnt happen. I did get to watch the last few secounds of the sunset - in my car - while at a red light. When i arrived, at his place, it was time for presents.
I got him 3 things:

a fossil wallet, an aero shirt, and quicksilver flip flops.

I was certain that he wouldnt like the wallet and shirt.. hes just so picky. but the flip flops are so comfy that i knew he would die. Well, he loved all 3. Yay! Im excited because i got the aero shirt for 9 buck, the wallet i had left over from months ago (i got it for my best friend but forgot to give it to him), and i used a "COUPON" for the flip flops (Im sure my sister would love the coupon part - i hate coupons). We celebrated his birthday at his favorite mexican restaurant "Marios." Of course, i had to get the restaurant people to sing to him... Oh and did he HATE me for it. He tried to get out of it by telling me that it would mean more to him if i was the one that sang "Happy Birthday" to him - - yea, sorry. Its funner when a crowd of people walk up to the table and sing (just ask renae - she had to wear a gigantic fish hat when we celebrated her bday). After dinner we headed back and watched a really boring movie. He passed out on my lap, it was so cute, and i wasnt too far behind.

(enjoying his birthday treat- he hates any type of fruit - so i got the cherry. Win! Win! in my book)

(While they were singing to him. you can tell hes gonna kill me. HA!)

(The fun restaurant people singing "happy birthday Panchito")
