Muzzie & I

Wine Tasting in Santa Barbara
(Dont tell him i posted this pic... he isnt too fond of it)

This is my lovely guy. His name is Hormuzd but goes by Muz. We met one lovely evening when i was down in Hunington beach (which is where he lives). We hit it right off. The 1st night we met we took a nighty walk on the beach, talked, and sat on one of the lifeguard towers and had our 1st kiss. Super sweet! We met on a random, hot, July wednesday and had our 1st official date on that sunday and we've been seeing each other ever since.

A little about him:
I call him Muzzie. Hes 29. Almost 30 (in january). He has his masters in computer science. He works by disneyland but lives in hunington beach (which is about 30-45 min away). He lives an hour away from me - 55 miles... SUCKS!!! he lives for beach volleyball (its HARD to get him away from it on the weekends!!!). He is from India (my family thinks this is funny because it reminds them of the quik-e-mart guy from the simpsons). His NFL team is the Chargers (and i'll cheer for whom ever there playing against - just to tick him off). He says he prefers me without makeup - i think otherwise. He always notices when i have changed something(ex: my finger nail polish - he always points it out). Makes my favorite Indian dish for me all the time.. MMMM!!!! We cant go to bed without saying "goodnight" to eachother. I love that part :)

A Little Catching Up to Do

I havnt had time to catch up on here. So lets do a quicky...

I went to San Diego for the 1st time a few weeks ago with Jen, Mondo, and Josh. We left friday. Headed down. It was such a LONG drive (mostly because of traffic) and we kept driving passed closed chick-fil-a's i was so sad. I kept saying.. "Mmmm.. chick fil a" and all my friends would say was "whats that?!" Oh, my friends are so deprived!!! I miss chick fil a so much. Once we arrived we checked into the hotel, but not before planning on how to sneak in past the front dest (we only paid for 2 people to stay in the room). Well me and mondo were trying to be TOO sneaky that we ended up getting lost in the hotel as we tried to find our room. So im sure it was pretty obvious what we were doing. We got into our room and started to get ready for a night out. We went to universal street (i think thats what its called) and did a little bar hopping. SO much fun! It was so refreshing just to spend time with the boys and jen. Once we got back to the hotel, mondo and i were craving tacos and the sweetheart went out and got us some :) The next day we had no idea what to do. I just wanted to see the city, since it was my 1st time there. We went to the beach for a little bit but it was FREEZING! then we headed to the SD fair. Which was packed. and the food looked delish! We got our tickets and went on into the fair... tried to get cash out of the ATM and NONE of our cards would work. We all kept getting declined. What?! We were broke. All of us put together had $40 on us, and that was gas money. SO we had to cut our trip short and headed back to LA.

I started dating a new fellow, Matthew. We met a few weeks ago. Once we got to know eachother we realized that his mom is one of my bosses... akward! But yes, his mom is my nurse supervisor. He is actually in Las Vegas Lake right now. He donated his kidney to his boss about 2 weeks ago and his boss has payed for him to go to LV all expense paid. and hes going to Mexico in about a week... LUCKY!!!!! I should donate my kidney and see what i get ;) jk. He and his boss have such an amazing bond.. he says that he would of done it in a heart beat again. So lets see how this new interest goes....

4th of july. Spent it in Hermosa Beach with Chantelle, Andalyn, Karrianne, Keisha, Kristen, and Olivia. It was SO much fun! We layed out in the beach all day and then enjoyed the fireworks over the ocean... so pretty! I think the thing that sticks out the most is when we were all talking about marriage and Karri ask "between all of us, which one do you guys will be married first" and everyone said "SIO!! or Andalyn... but SIO" I guess im just wifey material :)

Oh, another year!

Yup, Im 24 now.

Depressing i know. So there is no better way to celebrate my birthday than going to Vegas!
We left L.A. on Friday May 28th, early in the morning. and i mean.. i walked out of work and went straight to vegas. It was horrible. I was dead tired! I couldnt sleep on the car ride (mostly because my friend is a crazy driver and i was all over the back seat). Thanks to benadryl i finally passed out for a few hours.

As soon as we arrived we headed straight to our amazing room. We stayed at the "TRUMP." and gorgeous it was!!! 2 bedroom suit, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens. It was a dream! The moment we got there we headed to "tao beach." BUT not before a lil drama occured. As we were heading to tao i noticed that my ID was missing.. AAAHHH!!!!! And everyone knows that "NO ID, MIGHT AS WELL GO HOME!" I freaked out. My entire weekend was over at that moment. I was ready to book a flight and go home. Jen & I went mad crazy in the hotel looking for it. On our way downstairs we found 2 maids working. We asked them if they had found an ID - they denied. We continued... after about 30 min of non stop search we gave up and were headed back to the room then we see my guardian angel! One of the maids was holding up my ID when we walked out of the elevator. I WENT CRAZY! a huge relief.

We headed to tao beach, where our friends were already at. We had sushi for dinner. and went to XS club that night. Well Kerriann and Chantelle werent feeling so well at XS so we left early and were in bed by 1am. BUT being a nurse and all i had to take care of my girls. I had an IV kit with me just incase anyone got sick from drinking so much. Kerri was the lucky gal that got IV'ed and got fluids. RN to the rescue!

Day 2

We went to the Wynn to lay out at the pool. We met the guys there. Did i forget to mention that my ex was in vegas too. Well he was. Akward? Yeah, just a tad. But we handled being around each other very well. Kwasi (my ex) was there with a bunch of lawyer (so i made lots of lovely look ups for mal-practice... just in case i need it). It was one of the guys birthday on May 30th too so we were having a duo-bdays celebration.

That night we got all dressed up and tried to go to a club. Well it was literally IMPOSSIBLE!!! It was crowded! and it was absolutely a complete headache. We tried to get into a club.. until we saw that it was $20 for girls, and $200 for guys. WHAT?! What guy would pay 200 to get in a club?! So we hung around in the guys room.

Sunday, BIRTHDAY MORNING!
I woke up to the most amazing birthday morning... A video of my niece and nephew singing me happy birthday. It just drew me to tears. All the girls were in the room with me when i opened it and they all started singing to me. I could not stop crying. At that moment i was ready to ditch vegas and go see my family. It was really hard not being with my loved ones on my birthday, but chantelle and jen tried to make me happy. They went out and bought me the sweetest presents to remember the trip. I love it.

We headed to Tao beach once again...

We met a guy that was completely in love with chantelle. Anything she wanted she got. It was crazy how much he spent on us. When i got a glimpse of the bill at tao.. $500 buckos. OUCH! Now, the scary thing was that he lives 5 min away from me. We had mexican food for dinner and got ready for a night out at tao club. The club was AMAZING. So much fun! I even met my future vegas husband... sorry sister your future brother in law is a bouncer at tao. Greg (thats his name) hit it off and exchanged numbers :) The girls and i all left tao and hit the strip and just walked around.. a fantastic night!

Monday was another story. The drive to vegas is normally 4hrs. SInce it was a holiday weekend it took us 9hrs.. HORRIBLE TRAFFIC!!!!! Never again.

Oh Blondie!

Thats right.. i have turned into a blonde (but only for the summer).

Lets discuss how this lovely transformation began in the 1st place.. shall we?!

I have this weird thing about me that i DO NOT like it when people i know get or have the same haircut or color as me. It just bothers me so much! To the p
oint that it drives me crazy trying to find a new hairstyle. Well, one of my c
oworkers got the exact same haircut and color as me.. and it has been driving me nuts ever since. SO i made it my mission to find something different. I had two things in mind (1) go black and get extensions (like a kardashian) (2) go blonde (like beyonce). Half my friends said blonde and the other said black. They are no help! :) My friend, Andalyn, made a good point thought that turned me towards the blonde. She said.. "its summer!"

Ever since i have made up my mind about going lighter... it was now the challenge about finding what shade of blonde. Well, after much searching. I was ready to make an appointment and get it done. Well, last minute i chickened out and cancelled. 3 days later... attempt #2. Got it done!

NOW, your probably thinking that this pic is the ending product... right?!

WRONG!!!!

My hair was WAY blonder than this. The lady took my blonde idea and times it by 10. I never thought that my hair could go so blonde. It looked extremely dry.. i hated it! Well, thank goodness that i know someone that knows about hair and put in a darker blonde and it looks so much healthier. and WALLA! :)

Now i have 5 different colors in my hair:
1- my natural dark brown hair
2- burgundy color that i had put in a lil while ago
3- this gorgeous light golden brown color highlights
4- a few blonde blonde highlights (i didnt want to get ride of all of them)
5- the darker blonde
it looks much lighter in the sunlight

Now lets find out if that saying is correct:
DO BLONDES REALLY HAVE MORE FUN?!

Old and Busted vs New Sweetness

OLD & BUSTED

AAA is the best! Saved me many many times
This was when my friend, Niesha, locked my keys in my car
Thank goodness Andrew had AAA. One of the many unforgettable memories in my Corolla.
{This is what im asking for my bday.... AAA!!!}

About 3 weeks ago my lil toyota corolla was broken into. As i walked out to my car, one saturday morning, i got this bad feeling. I didnt know what it was but i knew it couldnt be good. As i opened my car door i noticed that everything was tossed around inside. Glove compartment was thrown open and all my papers were all over the dash board was cracked open (because they were trying to get the stereo but were unsuccessful). They did take the stereos face but not the stereo itself. I tried to figure out why they didnt take the stereo and then realized that they couldnt because that stereo is pretty much GLUED to my car. Its pretty much unmovable... that stereo aint going no where! Next step, figure out what else they took. I noticed that my trunk was left open. I opened it up and noticed a huge hole... this is where my subwoofer was. Most people would be so ANGRY because a subwoofer is nothing cheap... but i laughed. Why? I blew out my subwoofer about 3 months ago - it didnt work anymore. They actually did me a favor.. i have been telling myself to take out the broken/busted subwoofer out of my truck for months.. just too lazy to do it. Thanks burglers.. you just took one task off my "to do" list. Well, after all of this excitement. 2 days later my car decided that it no longer wants to run. The fastest it would go was 10 miles an hr and i went 15 miles/hr it would jerk to the point that it freaked me out. NOOOO!!!!!!! After the mechanic took a look at it.. it was my transmission. My car was done for :(

NEW SWEETNESS!!!

Meet my new amigo. Its an "Isuzu Amigo". Its my very 1st stick shift car ever. Ahhh!

being my 1st stick shift car.. means... LEARNING!!! 1 week after i had been driving it.. i broke the clutch.. GRRR!!!! Yup, my curse for car issues hasnt ended just yet. I was driving home from work, one morning, and noticed that my car had NO power and just didnt want to drive. My whole thought process was to get the car home no matter what. HA! Didnt happen. The hospital is 30 min from my house and once i reached the hollywood hills my car would NOT go up them at all. I knew i was done for and pulled over. This is why im asking for AAA for my bday.. maybe then my car issues will vanish!

1 week later... got my car back better than ever! My best friend took me on a ride to show me how to drive properly. He even let me drive his car (its a stick).. which is a BIG deal. He doesn't allow anyone (except Josh) to drive his car.

Isn't he the best?!

I have taken the top down twice. I LOVE IT!!!! I cant wait for beach trips with my friends and just let my hair blow in the wind. My best friends love riding in it with the top down. Its so funny to hear them making plans. Josh wants tinted windows in the back & a subwoofer. Chantelle just wants to go to the beach. HA! The 1st night mondo rode in my car he broke the middle console... ugh, cant take my best friend ANYWHERE!! :)

BUT i think the BEST part of my new car is....

AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!!!!

Its Set. Its Done. Lets DO this!

I finally scheduled my NCLEX-RN boards exam. Its sometime next month (march). Im not telling ANYONE when i am taking it because its just more unnessasary anxiety... that i dont want or need. I decided that im going to go to Utah RIGHT after my exam... why? because if i fail i need family support.. and if i pass i couldnt see myself anywhere else but celebrating with my loved ones. It takes 3 days to find out if we pass or fail. I've heard those 3 days are just dreadful! and im sure that if im running around with my niece and nephew i wont even remember about it..SO....

Time to cram, hit the book, and become a
California State Registered Nurse! :)
Hopefully, this is the last time i sign off as: Siomara, NS and become...
Siomara, RN!!!

RN Graduation/Pinning

New Grad, that i am!

I graduated from the nursing program December 20, 2009. A night i will never forget!!!!

Lets start from the beginning of the process, shall we. Planning graduation was a struggle! Mondo and I drove and drove and drove all over the san fernando valley to find the PERFECT location to hold our pinning ceremony. After long hrs we found the perfect location... the funny thing is that we almost didnt go see it because this place is located next to a stripper business. When mondo got the call to go see the banquet hall we were in the car going to go see other banquet halls. I told him that we shouldnt go see it because it would be trashy, but he said "lets just go, what do we have to lose?" Ok, so we went... and FELL in love with it!!!!

We got to do food tasting for our graduation.. SO good. We were surprised how good it was. It was authentic food. Some of it was greek, armenian, american.. just every culture you could imagine.

Graduation day:

As soon as you walk in you saw this:
It was a backboard we had made. We wanted it seem to like you were walking into a hollywood premier. We had the red carpet set out and had the paparazzi ready to take pictures of all the guests.

After all the guests had arrived the ceremony started. This is me being called up to get my nursing pin, red rose, and lantern.

After we received our things I walked over to my sister and had her "PIN" me. Shes not aware but to a nursing student the person that actually puts the pin on you is a VERY treasured moment. I wanted her to do it from the very beginning.

All the students had to say the "nursing oath." It was EXTREMELY LONG!!! We didnt realize it til we got about half way saying it and we all just started busting out laughing. Which was not the smartest idea (especially since its suppost to be a sacred oath). After the oath.. It immediately hit me that i had just graduated and i started to tear up. As i hugged all of my classmates it got worse and worse. Everyone just kept telling me "you better stop before you make me cry." I couldnt help it it was such a proud moment for me.

^ This picture is right before we said our oath. We had to light up our lanterns (which meant that we were nursing students) then we were asked to blow them out (which signified that we had completed our journey and we were ready to be released into the world as Registered Nurses!!!)

These are just some pictures of the night:

After we had dinner it was time to get back to business. We had "funny awards" to give out to our classmates. We had some funny characters in our class. Renee was our stressor. She stressed about EVERYTHING!!! It drove all of us nuts. She received the "stress ulcer" award. Another great award was Andrew's. From the VERY 1st class until the very end he had passed every single class with a 75.5% . You do not pass unless you get a 75% in every class. I loved his speech when he walked to receive his award... "C = RN" ahaha.. a popular saying that hes been holding on to for the past 2 yrs. And of course.. Eric got class clown. This kid made us laugh so much!!!!

Cake cutting with the presidency:

Niesha: Co-President. Armando: Graduation Chair. Chantelle: Secretary.
Cynthia: Fundraising chair. Me: Treasurer. Arvi: Co-President.
SO glad my mom and sister could be there to celebrate my day :) Thank you for everything!

THE CELEBRATION:
It was time to party and celebrate our acccomplishment!!! and PARTY we did :)

All of the classmates taking patron shots. By the time i got to the bar... all the patron that we bought (and it was alot) was GONE!!

Were a crazy bunch.. Yes ladies and gentlemen.. your future nurses :)

Like i said... Eric is the class clown.

BUT in the end.... These past 2 years have been the BEST 2 yrs of my life!!!!! I've made lifelong friends, and some amazing priceless memories.

I wouldn't trade it in for anything in the world.
